all things outdoors:

my layering experiment. i'm trying to make a new birch from this extremely robust specimen we planted a few years ago, by coaxing it to form roots off the branch in the moist environment i've provided. we shall see.

our firepit. why have we lived here for ten years and never done this before. hell yeah.
last weekend we had a lobster boil... yes that is indeed an old ironing board - makes a great grate for the lobster pot....

some wee wormy worms living betwixt the leaf walls. eating and pooping. eating and pooping.

my daylilies. so pretty. so fancy.

pretty in pink fancy daylily

my new garden. so far weed free, but that will not last - i guarantee it.

the pond - phase one.

my raspberries. my brother gave me a few stalks this spring and lo - they bore fruit.

my first black eyed susan of the season, a sunny addition to my sea of wild daisies.

oh i can't wait... my clematis is ready to bloom.

some of the nearly 40 trees we planted.
